RE: Let’s Get America Back to Work with our Focus on Cleaning for Health

As we look forward to emerging from the “Shelter in Place” orders, we are planning for how we will help our clients “welcome back” building occupants and visitors. For our clients who are deemed “essential” and have continued to operate in their facilities, we have increased focus on cleaning for health and the visible presence of effective disinfection service. By partnering with our clients, we have created healthier workplaces and confidence for their employees to be productive and comfortable.

The COVID19 pandemic has raised all of our awareness of the importance of avoiding the spread of germs and bacteria. The new attention to cleaning for health will reduce the spread of the flu, bronchitis and the common cold. We have already experienced a drop in reported sickness in essential work- places where we are performing enhanced scopes of work.

We at New Image have what you need from stringent cleaning and disinfecting protocols to personal protective equipment (PPE):

  • Touch point cleaning scopes of work
  • Enhanced janitorial scopes of work
  • Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) systems to verify surfaces are clean
  • Remediation services in response to presumptive or confirmed diagnosis of COVID19
  • KN95 and surgical masks

This is also a good time for our clients to consider liability issues. Please know that New Image has always been on the forefront of strict compliance with employment and immigration laws and in turn, have the integrity of great insurance coverage for workers compensation and liability coverage.

To Prepare our Client’s Facilities to “Welcome Back” their teams, we offer the below example of reactive protocols:

Below in black text are sample conditions and in blue text, the recommended New Image Building Services course of action.

Employee appears to be ill:

  • Employee will be asked to leave the property and seek medical treatment.
    – Note the time the employee left the building
  • Identify the area believed to be potentially contaminated, remove employees in that area and rope off or otherwise prohibit access.
    – New Image is treating as “presumptive positive” and will treat with Clorox 360 or alternative process and will wait 24 hours from the time the employee was last on site before entering the site. Alternatively, if the client chooses to close the location for 72 hours, New Image will still treat with Clorox 360 or alternative method with a lower level of PPE required.

Employee tests positive for COVD19:

  • Employee informs the client that he/she has tested positive for the COVD19:
    – Client EH&S officials and HR are informed
    – Local Health Department is contacted and provides direction
    – Client will notify New Image, who will not enter the building until at least 24 hours after the employee was last on site.
    – New Image will clean and disinfect the agreed upon areas with pandemic level cleaning protocols.
  • Reopen the affected area once New Image has completed treatment.
    – Local authorities approve.

Employee discloses to the client that they have been in contact with someone that tested positive for COVD19, but Employee is symptom-free:

  • Identify the area and rope off or otherwise prohibit access.
    – New Image considers this “presumptive positive” (since they have been exposed and are assumed to be a carrier) and that area is to be treated with Clorox 360 or alternative after 24 hours from the time the employee was last on site. Alternatively, if the client chooses to close the location for 72 hours, New Image will still treat with Clorox 360 or alternative method with a lower level of PPE required.
